12TH MAN HONOREES
Wednesday, November 30, 2005
The following Mercer County football players were honored by the
Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and
College Hall of Fame last night.
- Offensive Back - Alexz Henriques,
Princeton. Junior RB capped an outstanding season with 250 yards
rushing in a 42-0 win over WW-P North on Nov. 19.
- Offensive Lineman - Frank Raymond, Nottingham. Senior caught three passes for 88 yards
in the 19-10 playoff win over WW-P South on Nov. 19.
- Special Teams - Joe Benedetto, Hopewell. Key punt returns were a highlight in the
Bulldogs' tough 21-14 loss to Hightstown on Nov. 19
- Defensive Back - Brian Morris, WW-P South. Middle linebacker helped limit Nottingham
to 98 rushing yards in a losing effort on Nov. 19.
- Defensive Back - Will Nahan, Lawrence. Sophomore LB registered 10 tackles in a 31-14
loss to WW-P South last Saturday.
- Offensive Lineman - Johnny Gonzalez, Steinert. Senior TE caught three passes and helped the Spartans
rush for 184 yards in a 28-21 loss on Thanksgiving Day to Hamilton.
- Offensive Back - Bill Picatagi, Hamilton. Senior QB scored the game-winning
touchdown to lead the Hornets past rival Steinert last Thursday.
- Offensive Lineman - J.B. Fitzgerald, WW-P South. Sophomore TE hauled
in a pair of touchdown catches to lead the Pirates past Lawrence,
31-14, last Saturday
